SEMH Maths Teacher – Full Time
Location: South Liverpool
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS – UPS (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are proud to be supporting a well-recognised and forward-thinking SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in South Liverpool. This specialist setting is dedicated to supporting young people who require a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment to help them succeed both academically and personally.
We are seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEMH needs
- Build strong, positive relationships to support pupils’ emotional and academic development
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3/KS4 level (SEMH or SEND experience desirable)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- The ability to inspire, motivate and engage students who may be disengaged from education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
