Job description

School Transport Driver – SEN Provision
Location: Skelmersdale
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Start: ASAP

We are looking for a reliable and dedicated School Transport Driver to support an SEN school in Skelmersdale. The role involves transporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) to and from school, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

Key Details:

  • Must hold a valid driving licence with entitlement to drive a small minibus (D1).

  • Working hours are split between morning and afternoon school runs.

  • Additional hours may be available during the day to support school trips and timetabled activities.

  • A Passenger Assistant will be provided where required.

  • Candidates must be able to reliably travel to Skelmersdale each day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A safe, responsible and confident driver.

  • Someone patient, professional and supportive in working with children with SEN.

  • Punctual and reliable, with strong communication skills.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school/transport setting is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
