Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit an experienced and highly organised Attendance Officer for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about improving student outcomes through excellent attendance practices. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the school's attendance strategy, working closely with students, parents, and staff to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school.
• Investigating and following up on student absences.
• Liaising with parents/carers regarding attendance concerns.
• Producing attendance reports and analysing attendance data.
• Supporting the school's attendance improvement initiatives.
• Working alongside pastoral, safeguarding, and senior leadership teams.
• Maintaining accurate attendance records in line with statutory requirements.
• Building positive relationships with families to encourage regular school attendance.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in an attendance, welfare, pastoral, or school administration role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience using school management systems such as Arbor, SIMS, or Bromcom is desirable.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting young people.
