Are you a passionate and resilient Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) setting in Northampton on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who require additional support to access education, helping them achieve both academically and personally within a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and assess learning to meet individual student needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Support students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional learning barriers.
• Foster positive relationships and create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, support staff, families, and external agencies.
• Contribute to the wider school community and promote student wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• A strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed approaches is desirable.
• Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to engage students with diverse needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
