Religious Studies Teacher - Stockport - Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917- £38,633)

Teaching Personnel are supporting our Ofsted graded GOOD partner secondary school located in Stockport to recruit for a Religious Studies Teacher from October 2018 to cover a planned absence (maternity leave).

This is a fantastic position for a Religious Studies Teacher to join a reputable school on its way to Outstanding:

The role:

As a result of an upcoming planned absence within the Humanities department, the Head teacher of this popular secondary school is seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher for a minimum of two terms from October 2018. In incoming Religious Studies Teacher will be required to lead a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE RS. Both experienced and newly qualified Religious Studies teacher are welcome to apply for this opportunity, with the school looking to conduct interviews when the school re-opens following the summer break.

The RE department of the school is a thriving one with GCSE results consistently above the national average. The Head of Department is specifically seeking an RE Teacher who has a proven track record of delivering results at Key Stage 4. The Key Stage 4 course consists of two units- Religion and Ethics through Christianity and Religion, Peace and Conflict through Islam.

This is an exciting time to join the school as they go from strength to strength under a newly appointed Head teacher. In the school's most recent Ofsted report the behaviour of the pupils was highlighted to be impeccable. The staff and students are proud of the school and there is a positive ambience in all aspects of school life.

The school:

Our partner school currently caters for just over 700 pupils but numbers are increasing year on year due to the significant progress made by the school. The large majority of students are from White British backgrounds and the numbers eligible for pupil premium funding are slightly above the national average.

It is located very close to Stockport town centre making it easily accessible for those on public transport also. The areas of Egerton, Bredbury and Cheadle are only a short drive away from the nearby motorway.
