We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist SEN and SEMH schools across Bristol, supporting pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural and learning support to thrive in education.
This role offers invaluable experience for graduates considering careers in:

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may experience:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
- Communication and interaction needs
- Trauma and attachment-related challenges
You will help pupils develop confidence, resilience and positive coping strategies while supporting them to engage successfully in education.
This is a highly rewarding role where relationship-building and consistency are at the heart of what you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Help pupils access learning and remain engaged in lessons
- Promote confidence, independence and social development
- Support behaviour plans, interventions and structured routines
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
