Are you a psychology Graduate who is looking to take the next step in your educational journey?

A main stream primary school in the Salford area (M7) is currently searched for a psychology graduate with previous experience working with children to join their SEN team. The Head Teacher is looking for a psychology graduate for a teaching assistant role working with a number of SEN roles across Key Stage 1 and 2. This role will involve 1:1 support with children with social and emotional needs, pupils with speech and language difficulties and other special educational needs.

A successful applicant should:

  • Hold either an psychology or similar based degree
  • Have experience working with young children
  • Have a caring and understanding nature
  • Have strong communication skills

The role will be perfect for someone looking to do a PGCE course or pursue a career in educational psychology in the future. If you want more experience in a primary school working with pupils from a number of age groups and backgrounds then this is the perfect opportunity.

This Salford primary school has a specialised SEN provision and the school want a psychology grad to use their theoretical knowledge to help build relationships with the pupil's in the provision, support and build their confidence and raise their academic attainment.
