Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Are you a hard-working Year 1 Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Maidstone?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a two-form entry Primary School in Maidstone, Kent to start as soon as the schools are open again until December 2020. This is a full-time, long-term role that has the potential of being a permanent role for the right candidate.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Provide a CV with at least 6 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK


About The School

We are recruiting for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a primary school in the Maidstone area, but with easy access to local parks and nature reserves. Learning is the schools core purpose, this is championed within a safe school environment where people are helpful, considerate and respectful of each other.

The school is a larger than the average-sized primary school. Middle leaders are knowledgeable about the schools next steps and support other members of staff well.

The school is based in Maidstone and is accessible via car or bus.

About The Role

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS1 department, within the schools Year 1 class. The school are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and passionate about helping children achieve their potential.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to run small lessons with groups of up to 12 children, based around phonics, reading, maths and topic work. The role will also involve helping the class teacher in the preparation and delivery of work for the whole class and helping with behaviour management. Working hours are from 8.30am to 3.30pm each day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
