Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviour?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a primary teacher for a client school in the Poole area. The school is a primary SEN setting, catering for pupils with behaviour needs including SEMH, ADHD and Autism. The schools runs similarly to a mainstream primary school, with very small class sizes of around 6-8 pupils. The school has on-site parking and is reachable by public transport.
Due to the nature of the school, the pupils can be challenging so you must be resilient and have strong behaviour management. The school has a very positive approach to behaviour management and you will be supported in class by Teaching Assistants.
This is a full time, class teacher role to start in September 2019. We are keen to hear from applicants with experience in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as the school can be flexible on which class the role is for.
The be successful in this role you should:
- have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
- have experience teaching the primary age group
- be resilient and confident working with pupils with challenging behaviour
- have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service (Teaching Personnel can assist you with this)
