Role: Year 6 Teacher

Location: Glossop

Salary: Pay in line with MPS

Start Date: September 2020

A Primary School in Glossop are looking for an encouraging and inspired Year 6 teacher with high expectations of all pupils with experience of teaching Year 6 SATs to enable each pupil to reach their highest potential. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an experienced Year 6 teacher with a genuine desire to develop and provide the best opportunities for pupils. This 2 form entry school are looking for a positive role model with strong behaviour management strategies who will encourage every child to want to succeed.

 

The ideal candidate will:

• Knowledge of teaching for SATs using the 2014 curriculum.

• Be passionate about delivering creative lesson plans full of interesting activities to engage pupils.

• Have a positive and upbeat outlook and be able to built strong working relationships with other staff.

• Be able to work well with other classroom staff and instruct them accordingly.

• Assess pupil’s levels and put in place plans to ensure each child reaches or exceeds target.

 

Requirements for the vacancy:

• Recognised teaching qualification PGCE/QTS (or equivalent).

• DBS on the update service or be willing to get one.

• Experience of planning for and instructing a Teaching Assistant.

• Relevant Key Stage experience.
