Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time | Urmston
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming, inclusive, and community-driven primary school in Urmston, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team full-time from January 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 6 pupils.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and improve teaching practice.
  • Take part in ongoing professional development and whole-school initiatives.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Year 6 or across Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Confidently adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the National Curriculum and current teaching strategies.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
  • Confident in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
