Year 6 Class Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Stretford
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Start Date: September

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Stretford, which is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative school community where high standards, teamwork, and respect are at the heart of everything they do. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school and supporting them through this important stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to Year 6 pupils
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and best practice
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Support pupils in preparing for SATs and the transition to secondary education

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 6
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to differentiate effectively to meet diverse learning needs
  • A solid understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Confidence in using technology to enhance learning
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
