Year 6 Class Teacher – Full-Time | Primary School in Swinton
Start Date: January 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Teaching Personnel is delighted to support a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Swinton, which is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher from January 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons suited to the needs of Year 6 learners.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Engage in CPD activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible and confident teaching approach, with strong differentiation skills.
  • A secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Confident using technology to support and enhance learning.
  • Effective behaviour management and strong classroom leadership abilities.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Year 4 or within Key Stage 2 (ECTs with suitable placements are encouraged to apply).
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
