The successful teacher will bring experience, calmness under pressure, and a reassuring presence for both pupils and parents at this pivotal stage. While the expectations of Year 6 are high, the school and agency are committed to supporting you every step of the way.

Teachers with solid Year 6 experience and a proven track record in successful SATs preparation are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience supporting SEN and SEMH pupils in a mainstream environment is highly desirable.

  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency within upper KS2.
  • Uphold excellent behaviour management and foster a positive, resilient learning culture.
  • Support pupils with their transition to secondary school, boosting confidence and readiness beyond SATs.

Requirements of Year 6 Primary Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant primary teaching qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and KS2 SATs expectations.
