Location: Wythenshawe
Start Date: September 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are proud to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

The Role

As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils through a key stage of their primary education, helping them prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
  • Contributing to wider school initiatives and ongoing professional development opportunities

About You

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who can motivate pupils and maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour.

The successful candidate will have:

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✅ Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

✅ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

✅ A solid understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs preparation

✅ The ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs

✅ Confidence using technology to support teaching and learning

✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills

✅ A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
