Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Burnage
Start Date: September
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is delighted to partner with a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused primary school in Burnage, who are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary education by delivering high-quality, engaging teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually raise standards.
  • Actively engaging in professional development and training opportunities.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Year 6 or across Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Adapt teaching approaches confidently to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Possess a secure understanding of the National Curriculum and current pedagogical practices.
  • Show excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
  • Be confident in using technology to enhance learning.
