Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Burnage
Start Date: September
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive and focused learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards
  • Taking an active role in professional development and school initiatives

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Year 6 or across Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Can confidently adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Has a secure understanding of the National Curriculum and current teaching practices
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Is confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
