Primary Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant role
A Primary school we work exclusively with in Leeds (LS8) are currently seeking to employ a full-time Primary Sports Coach to deliver PE / Sports across the Primary age range as well as support in school as a General Teaching Assistant. You will be required to plan PE . Sports lessons and may also be require to lead after school clubs in school. You will be working with children from Early years - Year 6 of all ability levels. Candidates applying for this role must have a Sports coaching qualification or degree and must have previous experience in a professional environment coaching children where we can obtain references from.
The working hours will be from 8:30am - 3:30pm during the day and after school clubs will run until 6pm (should you be interested in this). This role will be starting from 24th February 2020. Candidates applying for this role MUST have experience working with Primary school aged pupils and leading sports / PE.
Teaching Personnel exclusively offer CPD and key skill courses to our candidates at Leeds Trinity University in order for candidates to up skill their professional skills within the primary teaching sector. To name a few Leeds Trinity offer; Literacy and Mathematical Development across the Curriculum, Planning and questioning for progression, Early Reading and Phonics, Teaching for Learning, Differentiation and Effective Behaviour management!

- Candidates must have a Sports coaching qualification or Sports / coaching based degree
- Candidates must be available school hours from 8:30 - 3:30 (up until 6pm for after school clubs)
- Candidates must have a positive attitude and have the required SEN and behaviour support experience with primary school aged children
- Candidates need to be confident when working with children with behavioural issues and abilities. This includes planning for differentiation and preparation for one-to-one support
- Candidates need to be open to trial days and must be punctual at all times
- Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and additional training
- Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually and must be proactive when supporting and teaching pupils
