National Tutoring Programme Tutors
Teaching Personnel is one of the 33 providers chosen to provide high-quality tutors to support attainment in schools via the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). This scheme has been funded by the government to help close the gap created by time away from school for more disadvantaged children.
I am working with a number of primary schools across South East London who require tutors to provide NTP sessions. Tuition will be carried out in hourly blocks per individual/group of students, but days and hours of work will vary from school to school. Tuition will be held in ratios of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 and can be held either virtually or in-person. Full training and guidance will be provided to the successful applicant before beginning a NTP tutor position.
We are looking to speak to any of the following individuals for NTP tutor roles:
- Qualified teachers
- Experienced teaching assistants
- Graduates within the following fields: English, maths, science, MFL, humanities, Primary education, SEND
Successful applicants will also need to have a minimum of 6 months teaching or formal tutoring experience or be a SEND/intervention specialist. You must also possess excellent references.
We also need you to fit the following criteria:
- Good communication skills
- An expert in your subject
- Motivating and engaging teaching/tutoring style
- Positive attitude and passionate about making a difference
- Flexibility and adaptability to school and student needs
- Able to maintain professional boundaries
- Organised
- IT literate
- Able to build relationships quickly
- Local to Greenwich, London
If you believe yourself to be a good fit for an NTP tutor role, please click ‘apply’ and send your CV to Teaching Personnel for review. Registering with Teaching Personnel for this position will be subject to the necessary vetting checks, including an Enhanced DBS check.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
