A number of Primary School's in the Cardiff area are seeking TA's to work in a variety of roles ranging from general class teaching assistant to SEN roles supporting children on a 121 basis. The schools are looking for highly dedicated professionals who are looking to make a difference within the education sector, no experienced is required but it would be beneficial if you have worked in a job like this or something similar.
The type of people that school's are looking for are bubbly characters who can identify problems and come up with solutions, you need to be proactive and always put the needs of the children first. Rapport building not only with the children but with other members of staff and parents as well.
As stated in the first paragraph there are both general and SEN roles. The general roles meaning you will be working with the whole classroom supporting where is needed. The SEN roles meaning you will be working with children on a 121 basis or small groups, SEN is very broad and covers children who have Autism, Behavioural problems, speech and language problems just to name a few.
