PPA Teacher – Wavertree (L15)

Start Date: November 2025
Pay: Competitive rates (paid weekly via PAYE)

About the Role

The Headteacher and Governing Body of a well-regarded primary school in Wavertree (L15) are seeking an experienced and proactive Primary Teacher to deliver PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover across five classes, alongside a focused intervention role.

The successful candidate will work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, supporting pupils in Years 1 to 6. Additionally, for half a day each week, they will lead a small group session with Year 4 pupils, targeting gaps in their mathematical understanding.

This is a highly respected and popular primary school, centrally located in the vibrant Wavertree area. The Headteacher is well-regarded within the local community, and the school benefits from a stable and committed staff team with very low turnover.

This vacancy has arisen due to the relocation of the current postholder and may offer a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. It is ideally suited to an experienced teacher seeking a part-time role within a warm, inclusive environment, supported by excellent resources.

The school maintains a GOOD standard of behaviour, and the appointed teacher will be expected to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and follow the school’s comprehensive behaviour policy.
