Pay Rate: £120-£232.56 per day (depending on experience)

 

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croxteth. This is a full-time temporary position starting in November, ideal for both newly qualified teachers and those with more experience.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Key Stage 1 team to ensure a smooth transition for pupils and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil reports
  • Uphold the school’s values and behaviour policies
