Job Title: Pool & Fitness Centre Manager (School Site)
Location: Salisbury
Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Pool & Fitness Centre Manager to join the team at a well-respected school. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the school’s fitness and pool facilities, with a particular focus ensuring safety standards are met.
The ideal candidate will be pool plant and lifeguard trained, with a proven track record in facilities management. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school site, ensuring that all facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of students and staff.
- Manage the swimming pool facility, including regular maintenance, water quality testing, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Act as a lifeguard during swimming sessions, ensuring the safety of all pool users.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and implement a facilities management plan, including preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Manage the school’s security systems, fire safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Oversee the budget for facilities management, including ordering supplies and managing resources efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified in Pool Plant Operations and Lifeguard Training.
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to swimming pool management.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
