Specialist post 19 provision seek to hire an experienced SEN teaching assistant for the next academic term with the potential to continue until summer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to further their experience of PMLD, SLD and ASC within a specialist and supportive setting. This Salford based provision caters for pupils aged 19 - 25 with severe, profound and multiple learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. It provides a small, supportive and understanding environment, which enables learners to develop their functional skills, independence and communication.

The SEN Teaching Assistant would be required to start as soon as possible and continue on a rolling basis. The college are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference to the well - being and social and emotional development of these young adults. The role will require the use of PECS, therefore previous knowledge and understanding of alternative methods of communication is essential. The SEN Teaching Assistant must be able to assist the learning and development of pupils through sensory and alternative curriculum activities.
