PMLD Support Assistant required for SEN School in Keighley

  • Able to fully meet the needs of learners with complex needs
  • Possess a current Moving and Handling certificate or be prepared to undertake training
  • Comfortable providing Personal Care

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties at a specialist school in Keighley. We are looking for individuals who have the relevant experience of working with students with complex learning difficulties. You will have the drive and commitment to support young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties who require very specialist care and access a highly differentiated curriculum. Qualifications are not necessary although training in Moving and Handling would be beneficial, as this role will require Personal Care.

The school provides a differentiated curriculum for pupils aged 2-11 with complex Special Educational Needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, including associated medical needs, and may require support with feeding.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
