A school in Bournemouth are currently seeking a Physics teacher to start part-time from September 2016.This school is part of one of the leading international college groups in the UK and USA. They provide an extensive range of English Language and Academic courses including GCSE, A-Level and Foundation programmes and regularly welcome students from over 60 different countries. The school offers an extremely friendly working environment, highly-motivated students and promotes student-centred, intensive learning, with typical class sizes of between 10-14 students. The school is inspected and accredited by the British Council and English UK and received an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ in their first inspection in May 2013. They have since continued to improve and expand, while always maintaining their first commitment to high quality teaching and learning.
The school are now recruiting a Physics Teacher to join their friendly Academic Team. This position will commence from September 2016 or earlier until at least July 2017. The role requires a thorough knowledge of Physics up to A Level.
The successful applicant will have QTS status or a relevant PGCE and a degree in your specialist subject. Additional language teaching qualifications such as CELTA or DELTA, and UCAS knowledge, are highly desirable. As a tutor for a small group of nominated learners, some pastoral duties may be required.
Working hours are normally between 8:30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and exceptionally, 5.30pm.The average weekly contact time is proportionate to the full-time average of around 21 hours during teaching weeks. Please note that our courses are in line with the academic years of other countries and the post is therefore unlikely to suit applicants who must be free in the normal UK school
