Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary) – Long-Term Role
Location: Throckley (Newcastle)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term – until at least July
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Throckley, Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in primary education who is looking for a stable, long-term role where they can truly make a difference.
The Role:

Supporting pupils across the primary age range (EYFS–KS2)

Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
-
Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
-
Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
-
Contributing positively to the wider school community
This role will continue until at least July, offering consistency for both staff and pupils. The school is looking for someone who is committed to becoming part of the team long term.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have recent experience working within a primary school setting
-
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently when required
-
Show a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Be proactive, reliable, and adaptable
-
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

Have (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
