Cover Supervisors Required

Salford secondary schools are seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff who excel in behaviour management, building rapport, and delivering engaging lessons prepared by teaching staff.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and learning progresses effectively. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and uphold school policies
  • Engage students through clear communication and positive reinforcement
  • Support pupils in completing set work to a high standard
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
  • Foster professional relationships with staff and students throughout the school

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and confident behaviour management
  • Ability to lead groups of young people in a classroom setting
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility
  • Previous school-based experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Graduates and aspiring teachers are particularly encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
