Job description

Secondary schools across Salford are seeking confident and resilient Cover Supervisors to support classroom learning from March onwards. Starting at £90 a day, this role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff with strong behaviour management skills.

You will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensure students remain on task, and maintain a calm, focused learning environment. Excellent communication with both students and staff is essential. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
  • Build positive working relationships with students and staff
  • Support the school’s policies around behaviour and safeguarding
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress

Requirements

  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities
  • Experience working with young people (desirable)
  • A proactive, professional, and adaptable approach
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and pass safeguarding checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
