Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £23,608
Contract: Permanent | 37 hours per week | Term Time Only
Start Date: January 2026

A specialist SEN/PRU Primary School in Bournemouth is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic P.E. Learning Mentor to join their dedicated team. This is your chance to combine your love for physical education with a rewarding role that helps pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
What You’ll Do
As a P.E. Learning Mentor, you’ll:
- Plan and deliver engaging P.E. sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create inspiring curriculum experiences that encourage pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
- Support children with a range of needs, including:
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD / ADD
- Speech & Language difficulties
- Behavioural challenges
Your sessions will help pupils build essential life skills, enrich cultural capital, and prepare them for a successful future.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with SEND / SEMH pupils
- Strong background in sports and physical education
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour calmly
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
