We are currently seeking a Physical Education Teacher to start work ASAP on a full time basis at on of our local schools in New Milton.
The school caters for students with autism and SEMH. It is a Pupil Referral Unit who cater for students aged 7 – 16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The students will come temporarily with the hope that they will return to mainstream school. The school is currently is a very small school of 20-30 students but is likely to expand to up to 80 students within the next year. It’s a brand new school so it’s a completely new building with amazing facilities.
The successful candidate must:
- have QTS or a similar qualification
- be nurturing and enthusiastic
- be enthusiastic and positive
- be resilient
- be confident working with students with SEMH/challenging behaviour
- have some experience working with children
To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:
- have experience working within a school setting
- have experience working with children and/or adults with SEMH
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Physical Education teacher
- Be willing to cover other subjects when required
- Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
This is a temporary long term role however, it is likely to lead into permanent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
