An exciting opportunity to join the PE department of a developing secondary school in Salford, known for its recent climb in performance tables.

  • Full-time PE teacher.
  • Required from Easter 2021 until the end of the academic year in the first instance.
  • Must have experience teaching PE up to GCSE level and have QTS.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified PE teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP25,614 - GBP41,604 per annum).
  • Secondary school looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment.

Our client school has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture with strong support to provide staff with the most efficient teaching methods.

The successful PE teacher will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver differentiated male PE lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning and ability. The teacher will also be given full planning and marking responsibilities and will be teaching a timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

Our client school is in Salford and can be accessed via the M60 and A580 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Swinton. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from neighbouring areas of Salford and central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
