PE Teacher

With the new academic year approaching, starting in September, Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a PE Teacher on behalf of one of our secondary school clients, located in Stockport. The high achieving secondary school are looking for a Physical Education Teacher who has experience working with secondary school students, are able to teacher practical and theory PE lessons and is a confident and outgoing person to interact and engage with all the students.

  • Physical Education Teacher, teaching practical and theory lessons
  • Located in Stockport, South Manchester
  • Starting September, in the new academic year
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS pay scale(£22,467 - £39,406) with weekly pay
  • Teaching secondary school students the AQA curriculum

Due to an open vacancy within the PE department, the head of PE is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to support their forward thinking team. The PE Teacher role, will initially be temporary with the opportunity to earn a permanent position if our client likes your style of teaching and commitment.

The ideal PE Teacher we are looking for will;

  • Have a confident approach to teaching, to control a large group of students
  • Be able to produce dynamic, fun and interactive lesson plans to engage all the students
  • Be able to commit to a full time teaching role
  • Be willing to support school sports teams, such as the football & Netball teams
  • Be a team player and fit well within the strong PE department team

In the recent years, the school have produced some high quality sporting students and teams, who have reached far in a number of competitions, such as the year 9 football team reached the last 64 of the national cup and the girls year 10 netball team won the county cup. Being a high achieving and highly sporting secondary school, this is a great opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher to work at.

Located in the heart of Stockport in south Manchester, just off the A6, with many public transport links close by, makes it easy to access the secondary school from Manchester Piccadilly. With top of the range Physical Education facilities and plenty of funding supported from the school, the PE department within our clients secondary school is supported extremely well.
