KS1 Teacher – Temporary Maternity Cover

A welcoming first school in Verwood is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave from January 2027 until the end of August 2027.

This is a 0.8 FTE position, with the successful candidate working Tuesday to Friday each week. The exact working pattern may be subject to change during the academic year in response to the needs of the school.

The Role

As a class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their potential.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated teacher who is passionate about primary education and understands how to create a classroom where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

You will have a positive and flexible approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your teaching to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and make strong progress.

Experience of working within KS1 would be welcomed, alongside a genuine passion for helping young learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
