Teaching Personnel is working with secondary schools across Durham that are looking for reliable and confident graduates to join them as Cover Supervisors.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, build your confidence working with young people, and develop skills that are highly valued within education.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain on task with the work provided.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects
- Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with the completion of classwork
- Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
- Following school behaviour and safeguarding procedures
No lesson planning or marking required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
