PE/Sports grads needed for behaviour and mentor roles in BD12

Do you hold a Degree in PE, Sport's, Coaching or a similar field? Are you looking to secure the next role after your Sports degree? Are you able to connect and motivate the disengaged? Is your degree in sports matched by your passion for teaching? If so then being a behaviour mentor/behaviour buddy and gaining school based experience could be the next step for you!

I am working in partnership with a secondary school based in the BD12 area of Bradford. With easy access to public transport and main roads travel to and from the school can be achieved in multiple ways. This is a Large Secondary School and can get very busy. Having the confidence to stand in front of students and maintain order is a major part of the role. Using the behaviour policy provided by the school you will keep the students on task and engaged on the activities and assignments. In this role you will experience challenging behaviours and students who really need you're help!

Behaviour Mentor/Behaviour Buddy:

Your daily duties will consist of the following;

  • Covering classes
  • Working closely with specific students
  • 1 on 1 and small groups settings also
  • Maintaining classroom discipline
  • Helping to ensure good learning takes place in every lesson
  • Being a positive role model for all students at all times
  • Building rapport with staff and students

In order to apply for the position you must hold a DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

As a Behaviour Mentor/Behaviour Buddy you can expect:

Graduate work in schools, throughout the Calderdale and Bradford

Opportunity to work as a a Behaviour Support Worker, Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor

Earn up to £300 per week on daily and weekly assignments

Take part in our regular courses and training (safeguarding, behaviour management)

Work in schools local to you that suit your preferences
