Interventions Teacher – Bury

Start Date: Monday 1st September 2026

End Date: Friday 18th December 2026

Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a supportive primary school in the BL9 area, seeking a dedicated Interventions Teacher to work across EYFS and KS1, focusing on Phonics as well as Speech and Language intervention to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping pupils develop essential reading and phonics skills.

About the Role

You will work closely with pupils across EYFS and KS1, delivering targeted phonics interventions to boost reading confidence and prepare learners for the Phonics Screening Check. As well as early intervention around Speech and Language, in particular for pupils in EYFS. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who enjoys working in small groups and tailoring lessons to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and deliver engaging sessions for pupils

· Track and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed

· Provide additional support for pupils who require extra help

· Collaborate with class teachers and SEN staff to ensure consistency

· Create a positive, encouraging learning environment

What We’re Looking For

· Ideally QTS however unqualified with relevant experience will also be considered

· Experience teaching phonics

· Strong knowledge of phonics scheme – this school currently uses Little Wandle

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· Ability to differentiate teaching for varying learning needs
