Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the BL8 area of Bury. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and operates as a two‑form entry setting, giving teachers the advantage of shared planning, strong team support, and consistent curriculum delivery.
This role begins after the Easter break and will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that build on the foundations of early learning. You’ll work closely with the parallel Year 1 teacher, contributing to planning, assessment, and the overall development of the children in your care.
The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have relevant experience within Key Stage 1, and bring a calm, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to the classroom. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
