Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and resilient Pastoral Lead to join a warm, community‑focused primary school in the heart of Aintree. About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural needs. You will work closely with senior leaders, class teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the right support at the right time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing daily emotional and pastoral support to pupils across school
• Leading on attendance, behaviour, safeguarding concerns, and early intervention
• Managing behaviour plans, pastoral records, and individual support strategies
• Coordinating with external professionals (e.g., Early Help, CAMHS, social care)
• Supporting children with SEMH needs, trauma, attachment challenges, or additional vulnerabilities
• Leading small groups or 1:1 sessions focused on wellbeing, resilience, and self-regulation
• Being a visible, trusted presence for children throughout the school day

• Has experience in a pastoral, wellbeing, safeguarding, behaviour, or inclusion role
• Builds strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Understands the needs of pupils with SEMH, trauma, or SEND
• Communicates confidently and professionally with staff and external agencies
• Works calmly under pressure and responds with empathy and consistency
• Is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils

Experience in the following is highly desirable:

• Primary school pastoral or SEND work
• Safeguarding Level 2 or above
• Experience delivering interventions (Zones of Regulation, Nurture, ELSA, Thrive, etc.)
• Supporting behaviour, attendance, or Early Help processes
