Pastoral Support Assistant

A school in Manchester is looking for a Pastoral Assistant to join the support staff team.

The role will focus on working on a support basis, providing continuous support for the school's students who have SEN.

There will be some expectation to also work closely with the school's students who havebecome disengaged from the mainstream process.

Applications are welcomed from:

• Graduates with SEN experience.
• Individuals who have worked within a support capacity previously. 
• Those who have worked with children with SEN in alternative provision previously.

The required individual will be expected to:

• Implement strategies related to maintaining and improving student engagement within the classroom. 
• Devise methods that are efficient in inspiring students to achieve their best.
• Deal with potentailly challenging behaviour.
• Work with full time teaching staff in the identifying of pupils who require specific support.
• Maintain specific school policies related to behaviour and Covid-19.

This is a temporary placement from January 2020.

Pay GBP275 - GBP350 per week based on prior experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
