SEMH & Behaviour Support Staff – Specialist Schools
Location - Stoke on Trent - (ST3)
Salary - £95–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is recruiting passionate and dedicated SEMH & Behaviour Support Staff to work across specialist schools and alternative provisions throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who require additional guidance to thrive both academically and emotionally.
You will be supporting pupils with:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Challenging behaviour
- Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
- Additional learning needs and SEND

- Behaviour Mentoring
- Youth Work
- Residential Care
- Support Work
- Sports Coaching
- SEN Support
- Mental Health Support
- Alternative Provision or Specialist Education
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Encouraging engagement and participation in learning
- Using positive behaviour management strategies
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
