English Tutor – NE38, North East

Location: NE38
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: Weekdays – School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in the NE38 area. You will support learners in developing their English skills, building confidence, and achieving their academic goals through engaging, personalised lessons.

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, or education professionals seeking flexible, part-time work during school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 English tuition sessions.
  • Plan lessons tailored to each student's individual learning needs.
  • Support students in improving reading, writing, comprehension, and exam preparation.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and/or GCSE English.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
