Are you an experienced and passionate 1:1 Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity in Northumberland?

We are looking for a dedicated tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a student with SEN, helping them build confidence, develop their academic skills, and make positive progress in their education.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to the student's SEN needs.

• Plan lessons around the student's individual abilities, learning style, and targets.

• Use appropriate strategies to support learning and engagement.

• Support the student's academic progress, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

• Manage behaviour positively and create a safe, supportive learning environment.

• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.

• Work collaboratively with the school and wider support team.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with SEN students is essential.

• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching in an educational setting.

• Strong understanding of differentiated and personalised learning.

• Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.

• Relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.
