English & Maths Tutor – SK1

Location: SK1 (Stockport)
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: Weekdays – School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English & Maths Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in the SK1 area. You'll help learners build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their academic goals through engaging, personalised lessons.

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, or education professionals seeking part-time work during school hours, offering flexibility and a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 English and Maths tuition.
  • Plan lessons tailored to each student's individual needs.
  • Support students in closing learning gaps and preparing for assessments.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and/or GCSE content.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
