Job description

English & Maths Tutor – SK1

Location: SK1 and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours (flexible within this timeframe)

TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English & Maths Tutor to support pupils in the SK1 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to young people's education by providing tailored one-to-one tuition.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging English and Maths tuition sessions on a one-to-one basis.
  • Support pupils to build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their academic goals.
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback following each session.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English and/or Maths.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning programmes.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant degree.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those working below age-related expectations.
