Job Title: Pastoral Leader
Salary: NJC 12 – FTE £27,711 per annum (pro rata £24,340.74)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time

Role Responsibilities
As a Pastoral Leader, you will:
- Set and maintain high expectations for student behaviour and wellbeing
- Provide dedicated pastoral and behavioural support to students across a year group
- Liaise effectively with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes
- Supervise student entry each morning, addressing uniform, appearance, or other concerns
- Monitor attendance in collaboration with the attendance team and follow up on issues
- Maintain accurate records using Bromcom or other school systems
- Monitor and contribute to behaviour logs, support plans, and reports
- Support disciplinary procedures and prepare relevant documentation
- Facilitate and attend meetings with parents and other stakeholders
- Maintain a visible presence around the school and respond to issues as they arise
- Participate in the remove rota and provide additional safeguarding and welfare support
What We're Looking For
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working in a school or educational setting is essential
- Strong ICT skills relevant to administrative and pastoral responsibilities
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements in schools
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Experience in social care or a recognised qualification is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- A track record of ongoing professional development
