Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Preston
£13.75 per hour | 20 hours per week | Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? Do you have experience in education, support work, or personal care? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded specialist provision in Preston.

About the Role
This is a part-time position (20 hours per week), ideal for someone seeking meaningful work within a supportive and dynamic educational environment. You’ll be working with children and young people aged 2–19 with a range of learning needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and communication challenges.

You will:

  • Support students with their learning and personal development
  • Assist with personal care routines when required
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in working within education, support work, or personal care settings
  • Patient, empathetic, and confident in supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Comfortable with hands-on, practical support including personal care
  • Committed to promoting independence and positive outcomes for all learners
