Outdoor learning support

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Learning Mentor to work in one of the academy trusts we work closely with.

These roles are working with an individual child on a 1:1 basis supporting and guiding them through their education. These children struggle to access a full mainstream timetable so have a timetable specifically suited to their needs. A lot of their time table will be based outdoors and there having outdoor education would strengthen your application.

For these roles you must have experience of working with children within a setting. It does not specifically need to be in education. If you have worked as a sports coach/leader, teaching assistant, care support or other child related work positions then you could be considered for these roles.

You must be able to drive with access to your own vehicle.

A DBS is required for these roles and it must be child workforce only. We request for your DBS to be on the update service. However if you do not have a DBS we can support you through the process to apply for one.

If you are interested in this role please do not hesitate to contact us. Send us a copy of your CV or give our branch a call to find out more!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
