Are you an experienced Supply Teacher seeking work opportunities through these uncertain times? 

Have you had experience tutoring or delivering interventions? 

Teaching Personnel South Wales understand that due to the current circumstances, the next few weeks are a time of uncertainty for many supply teachers.  We are seeking supply teachers that would be interested in providing online tuition via our online teaching platform whilst schools are closed, and then be able to work in schools across South Wales!

Online Supply Teacher Requirements:

  • You must have QTS
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (Teaching Personnel can provide guidance on how to apply for this)
  • For online tuition you must have access to the internet, with a PC/Laptop/Tablet and camera & microphone
  • Be available on demand and in advance
  • Consider tutoring pupils on the English curriculum 

We are looking for both newly qualified and experienced teachers who have the ability to teach up to at least KS3.

About the online supply teacher role:

Teaching Personnel is the UK’s leading education recruitment agency and every year we provide staff to over 5.000 schools across the UK.  With partial school closures we are now offering our services to schools via an online teaching platform and are seeking teachers to provide online tuition.   Schools from all over the UK will be able to access your profile and book you for tuition.

Of course these school closures are only partial and will be reopening at some point in the hopefully near future! At which point you will be Supply teaching across Secondary schools in Newport, Cardiff and South Wales area.

We are delighted to say that we are a Government approved! After passing a very stringent criteria process we are a chosen agency on the National Procurement Framework. Which means you will be paid 127 a day for supply teaching within schools.

A willingness to teach across all secondary year groups is preferred but not essential and the ability to cover one specialism up to KS5 would be a bonus to any teachers applying for this role. 

You will be able to work on a day to day basis or in long term positions, depending on your personal working requirements.

GBP127- GBP150 daily pay rate (dependant on the role)

Due to demand from local schools, we are really keen to hear from any teachers that live in, or can get to, the following areas:

  • Newport
  • Cwmbran
  • Chepstow
  • Caldicot
  • Abergavenny
  • Pontypool
  • Ebbw Vale

Teaching Personnel understand that the next few weeks/months are a time of uncertainty for a lot of supply teachers.  However, the schools will re open and when they do they are going to be needing staff more than ever!   All interviews for this position will be held over the phone & via online video platforms.  Please apply with your CV and I will be in touch.  I look forward to hearing from you
