Our nursery welcomes children from 6 months to 5 years, and we take pride in offering exceptional care and early education to give every child the very best start in life.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an essential role within our dedicated team. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will help to create a nurturing and inspiring setting for children. Your duties will include delivering age-appropriate activities, supporting mealtimes, attending to personal care needs, and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, celebrating achievements and developmental milestones.

• Build strong, positive relationships with children and parents, ensuring open and effective communication.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment at all times.

• Support children’s emotional well-being, offering comfort and encouragement where needed.

• Work collaboratively with the team to create a stimulating and creative learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or an equivalent qualification).

• Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.

• A sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its practical application.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We value a healthy work–life balance and provide a supportive and welcoming workplace.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
