NEWLY QUALIFIED TEACHER - SCIENCE

Required for September 2019, an enthusiastic and ambitious Newly Qualified Teacher. An early start in July 2019 would be considered.

The Senior School, located close to the seaside in Portsmouth, is a place full of exciting new opportunities. Nurtured in a positive and responsive environment, the school prides itself on its happy, purposeful and successful pupils. True to the schools ethos, children are afforded close pastoral care and tailored academic support. The students are guided to explore further their individual talents and develop the independence and self-confidence to continue the pursuit of excellence that stretches beyond their GCSEs.

It is a school where students achieve well and are part of a strong, caring community. Their ambition was recognised by Ofsted in 2016 when it was stated that, "School leaders are ambitious. They want the school to become outstanding and they are doing the right things to achieve this."

The large Science Department consists of ten full time teachers alongside two technicians and two specialist Teaching Assistants. It is well equip to meet the demands of its forward thinking and exploring students. With recent modernisation to the whole school, the Science department benefited from new integrated IT systems to help aid its pupils in the research of scientific discoveries and further support the theory of the three Sciences.

* Ability to build positive working relationships with students and staff alike

* Passion for delivering outstanding teaching practice with the passion continue to pursue outstanding practise
